While the Anteaox ingredients we use have been shown to produce an impressive 111 (and counting) polyphenols, Anteaox has been tested via university mass spectrometry standards to scientifically validate its delivery of at-least 18 specifically targeted polyphenols.
Anteaox's use as a preventative has been supported by numerous clinicians including GP's, Integrative GP's, Medical Oncologists, Gastroenterologists, Cardiologists, Naturopaths and Nutritionists.
Clinical Info - General
Polyphenols and human health is a rapidly emerging area of medical research. This is because it is now recognised that in terms of disease prevention and adjunctive treatment, they have multiple modes of action.
Firstly, Polyphenols have long been recognised as being powerful antioxidants, more potent in fact than traditional antioxidants (as much as 25-100 times more potent) such as beta-carotene, selenium and vitamins C and E (1). Importantly, when used in combination, polyphenols have been shown to have a synergistic effect (2). Their antioxidant efficacy is an important consideration given that several papers show that oxidative stress is the cause of, or an exacerbating factor in a wide range of diseases (3) including:
Diabetes
Obesity
Cardiovascular: Hypertension, Atherosclerosis, Coronary Artery Disease, Stroke/Ischemia-Reperfusion
Kidney Diseases: Diabetic Nephropathy, Urolithiasis
Fertility: PCOS, Endometriosis, Metabolic Syndrome
Liver Diseases: Necrotic Hep./Cirrhosis, Fatty Liver Disease, Wilson’s Disease, Viral Hepatitis, Fibrosis
Cancers: Breast, Prostate, Colorectal, Brain, Leukemia, Liver, Lung
Joint: Rheumatoid Arth., Temporomandib, Systemic Lupis, Erythmatosis
Neurodegenerative: Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Autism, Amyt. Lat. Sclerosis
Blood: Beta-Thalassemia
Eye: Age-related Macular Deg., Diabetic Retinopathy, Cataract
Lung: Asthma, Pulmonary Fibrosis
Second, it is now understood that Polyphenols also exert pleiotropic or epigenetic effects (4), switching on and off certain genes and influencing various cell signaling pathways. Below is an example of these mechanisms imparted by just one of the Anteaox polyphenols – Formononetin (5)

Dose
In terms of dosing, when being used as a preventative or adjunct, we recommend one cup per day. The longer this can be maintained, the greater the benefits, so we offer a substantial discount when a 12 month supply is ordered. While we don’t position Anteaox as a first line treatment, there have been papers published describing a tea with a similar phenolic profile to Anteaox being used to treat Glioblastoma (6). In this instance, the dose was 5 cups per day.
Safety
Adverse Reactions
Adverse reactions – herbal teas are generally very well tolerated and there have been no reported adverse reactions to Anteaox.
Drug interactions/Overdose
There have been no reported drug interactions with Anteaox at the recommended daily dose of one cup. It is possible to overdose on the individual polyphenols, but only once a volume of 4-5L/day is reached.
Chemo/Radiation
Despite a growing body of evidence suggesting it is safe to do so (142), our current recommendation is to not use Anteaox while undergoing Chemo or Radiation treatment so as to align with current medical standards.
Pregnancy
Although there is a lack of evidence to the contrary, we always recommend that you seek advice from your paediatrician/treating physician as to the use of Anteaox during your pregnancy.
